Relaxing products work in exactly the same way as perm lotions, by breaking the hair chain and then reforming it when it is dry, with relaxers straight and with perm lotions curly.
The more you use this on your hair the more damage you do and eventually your hair will be so broken down it will be hard for the chain to reform and it ends up like cotton wool.
Lots of conditioning can help as will Hot oil treatments, although it won’t mend your hair.

With very wet hair, VERY large rollers can straighten it, as wrapping your hair around your head and using a large roller on your crown.

Or the other option is that you go and get it done professionally as professional products used are far kinder to your hair than what you can buy in the chemists.
