Question by melrosejade: what is hair texturizing,is it the same relaxing?
i have got my afro hair natural and i would like to stay away from relaxing and chemicals.ive heard about texturizing,to maintain it,is this the same as straightening or relaxing?please help!

i love my afro, it makes me feel exotic.
just get some micros/wig.

For black people, texturizing is different than just a hair cut. It is a chemical process where instead of having a straight relaxer perm, you just straighten the curl pattern of the hair to a manageable state. It works best on short to midlenght hair. An example is the mens S-Curl kits, that is a texturizing kit.
